SPACE BAGS ARE AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!! March 28, 2010 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
Space bags are amazing. It is fun to watch all the air being sucked out of the bag when you hook the vacuum up. We were able to get all of out clothes into 1 suitcase instead of 2. This saved us $50 ($25 each way for a checked bag on the airline)
I would highly recommend!!!!!

not so great September 25, 2009 Caraculiambro (La Mancha and environs) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
These are pretty impressive when you see the vacuum cleaner sucking all the air out of the bag, saving you all that space.
But in practice, about half of the bags have holes in them, and the air gradually gets back in by the time you arrive at your destination. I bought about 10 of these for moving a ton of clothes overseas recently, and when we arrived about half had expanded again.
In defense of this product, however:
1. This may not be because of a manufacturer's defect so much as that the unavoidable jostling of other items in your luggage during flight is probably going to pop a hole in the bag. [Some were confirmed to be manufacturer's defects, however.] Be that as it may, from your point of view it doesn't matter where the hole comes from.
2. Hole or no hole, they still might do the job for you, since the air comes back in gradually. Simply suck all the air out, pack your luggage and close it, since it's unlikely disaster would ensue should the bag expand while your suitcase is closed.
A final warning: you might think you're saving space by using these. And so you are. But that invariably tempts you to load your luggage past the weight limit and hence incur the attendant fees, leading me to question whether saving money can really be considered an advantage of this product.
These should be better... May 13, 2010 Andrew Ellington (I'm kind of everywhere) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I fight a mighty large urge to say that I hate these things. I don't hate them. They work, to a degree, but be forewarned that these bags do not do all that they say they will. By that I mean that these bags may suck the air out and save space so-to-speak, but that air comes back gradually. These bags don't stay that small for long. Sure, they do stay somewhat small, but what they show you on the commercial is no where close to what they really do for you. As far as packing is concerned, they do the trick. The air is released gradually so you can pack tightly with no worries, but I've been using these to store my daughter's clothes away as she grows out of them and so when used as a space saver for a long extended period of time, they are not as great as one would like them to be. Also, these bags can be tricky to close, which can be frustrating. Bottom line is that these things work, but not as well as one would like. I use them, but I'm not a very happy customer.
Great idea but needs work! December 28, 2009 Marcial del Rosario (Bogota; Colombia) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
The bags are not as durable as I thought they would be. The zipper came off after 3 uses and the bag lost its seal after one night, it could be my fault for not sealing it correctly but who knows. The bag material is cheap and rigid. Great idea but needs work!
