Okay, yes, they are plastic, but sturdy. I have 2 young daughters that share a closet and was able to downsize one side completely. Needless to say, I am buying more to complete my project. They are even sturdy enough to hold even my clothes, shirts/pants/hoodies etc.

This item is plastic, but it is very sturdy and holds up well. Works great in helping me create more space in my closet. You can't beat the price either.

Contrary to what the description says, this item is not made of sturdy metal or any other kind of metal. It is made of ABS plastic.
